I had taken a precautionary backup of the entire public_html directory as a zip file right before upgrading to Joomla 5.1.0. When I encountered issues with the new version, I unzipped and restored this backup to revert everything back to the last day's state under Joomla 5.0.3. This backup included all files and the structure of the public_html folder as it was just before the upgrade.
Gws, based on your advice, I'm considering whether I should have also emptied the database before restoring the files. I did not do this, which might be contributing to the current issues.
Could the persistence of the database changes made by Joomla 5.1.0 be the reason for the error I'm seeing now? If so, what would be the best approach to rectify this situation?
